About new materials, bird feeders and millions of PLN – the 2nd edition of the Circular Economy Workshop!

The second edition of the Circular Economy Workshop organized by ICCE CUT took place on World Recycling Day, March 18, 2026. The meeting was hosted by Prof. dr hab. inż. Krzysztof Pielichowski, Director of ICCE, and members of the workshop organizing and scientific committees. The event was held under the patronage of His Magnificence, Rector of the Cracow University of Technology, Prof. dr hab. inż. Andrzej Szarata. The meeting was opened by Dr. hab. inż. Tomasz Zdeb, prof. PK from the Workshop organizing committee, and Dr. hab. inż. Magdalena Niemczewska-Wójcik, prof. PK, Vice-Rector for Science. The opening lecture of the workshop, titled "EU Taxonomy – Challenges for the Circular Economy," was delivered by Prof. dr hab. inż. Agnieszka Generowicz, introducing the audience to the issues that form the legal basis for waste segregation. The event featured over 20 presentations, the subject matter of which could define "interdisciplinarity."
