A few words about us…
Interdisciplinary Center for Circular Economy (ICCE) is an interfaculty organizational unit of the Tadeusz Kościuszko Cracow University of Technology, established under §28 of the CUT Statute. The Center serves as a platform for interfaculty collaboration and cooperation with the economic and administrative environment — both national and international.
Our mission is to develop modern solutions in the field of circular economy (CE) – in technological, educational, and organizational terms. ICCE integrates the scientific and educational potential of the university and strengthens CUT’s role as a leader in sustainable development.
What do we do and what are the Center’s main tasks?
The Center carries out scientific, educational, promotional, and implementation activities in the field of CE, involving interdisciplinary teams of experts from various faculties of CUT.
➤ We organize education and the development of CE competencies
We conduct lectures, seminars, and conferences aimed at sharing knowledge and developing practical skills in the field of circular economy. We support the development of curricula that incorporate CE as a key component of environmentally oriented engineering education.
➤ We carry out interdisciplinary research
As part of the Research Team, we initiate and conduct research projects in cooperation with industrial and administrative entities. We support the preparation of scientific publications, patents, and project proposals (NCN, NCBR, EU).

➤ We develop modern technological solutions
We create innovations in areas such as materials engineering, chemistry, environmental protection, energy, civil engineering, architecture, automation, computer science, and data processing. We use modern digital and design tools.
➤ We support CUT’s educational activities
The Education Team works on expanding CUT’s educational offer with new content related to CE, including courses, subjects, and cross-disciplinary modules shared across various fields of study.

➤ We conduct promotional activities and support cooperation with external stakeholders
The Promotion and Cooperation Team promotes circular economy topics and supports the university’s image as a socially and environmentally responsible institution. We are open to collaboration with businesses and administrative institutions.
