The results of the CLEANLAKE project were recognized internationally at the 18th Edition of EUROINVENT 2026 – European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation, held on May 28–30, 2026, in Iași, Romania.
The solution titled "From Waste to Water Protection: Circular-Economy-Oriented Zeolite Synthesis from Energy Industry Residues" was awarded a silver medal, confirming the innovative nature of the developed technology and its implementation potential within the fields of the circular economy and aquatic environment protection.
The award-winning solution aligns with the principles of the circular economy by utilizing by-products and residues from the energy sector as raw materials for the synthesis of functional zeolite materials.
The developed materials could find application in processes for reducing pollution and protecting aquatic ecosystems, demonstrating that industrial waste can become a valuable resource for environmental technologies.
The authors of the award-winning solution are: Kinga Korniejenko, Maciej Gąbka, Beata Figiela, Kacper Oliwa, Elwira Rusinek, Beata Messyasz, Agnieszka Grela, and Michał Łach.
The awarded medal serves as important confirmation of the significance of the research and development work being conducted, as well as its alignment with the goals of the green transition, the circular economy, and the sustainable use of raw materials.
We warmly congratulate the award winners and wish them continued success!
